Designed for peak performance in extreme low-temperature climates, Shell Rotella® T6 SAE 0W-40 is formulated with advanced “Low SAPS” additive technology and a synthetic base oil. This full synthetic oil meets stringent API CJ-4/SN, Volvo VDS-3, and Mack EO-N standards, making it ideal for vehicles with 2010 emissions-compliant engines and after-treatment systems.
Heavy duty diesel engine oils will be undergoing a category upgrade in the coming years. The Proposed Category 12 (PC-12) engine oils are in development now and will be licensed for use in early 2027.
